Kurt Rosenwinkel Trio (USA) will perform at the Viljandi Guitar Festival on October 22.

Guitarist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, and Heartcore Records founder Kurt Rosenwinkel has long been known as a singular creative voice at the forefront of modern music. His imaginative integration of electronics, rich idiosyncratic harmonic colours, genre-bending aesthetics and his masterful collection of original compositions has inspired generations of musicians and listeners and has left an indelible mark on the 21st century sonic landscape.

The trio consists of the jazz luminary Kurt Rosenwinkel, bassist Lucas Traxel and drummer Gregory Hutchinson. The trio’s initial success was brought by the album released in 2009 “Kurt Rosenwinkel Standards Trio – Reflections”, the latest album “Angels Around” was released in 2020. Kurt Rosenwinkel Trio last performed at the Viljandi Guitar Festival exactly five years ago, in 2017.

The concert will be organized in accordance with the rules applicable to public events during this period. The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the program.
